Who we are
Canadians’ Finance provides educational Canadian money tools. Our public business contact details are being added.
Your calculator numbers stay in your browser
The calculator runs on your device. We do not send your savings, spending, ages, benefits or investment assumptions to Tally or to an application database. To move between the calculator and results, your inputs are saved in this browser tab’s session storage. Closing the tab normally clears this, although a browser’s restore feature may restore the session. Use “Clear my numbers” on the results page to remove them. We never put your financial inputs into the results URL.
Results are free without an account or email address. We do not email PDF reports. Printing is handled by your browser and printer.
Optional email signup
If you open the signup form, it loads from Tally. If you submit it, Tally stores the information you enter: your email address, optional first name, consent choice and submission date, along with technical information described in its privacy policy. We use these records to manage the updates you request. Calculator inputs are not included.
The consent checkbox starts unchecked. Signing up is your choice and does not affect access to results. You can withdraw your consent by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any future marketing email. This website does not send confirmation messages or marketing campaigns automatically.
Services used by this website
Our hosting provider processes ordinary connection information, such as network addresses and request logs, to deliver and protect the site. We do not use advertising trackers or record calculator-result views in our own database.
Tally hosts the signup form and stores submissions in Europe. Its form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent automated submissions. Opening or interacting with the signup form can cause those services to process browser and network information. Read Tally’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. We only load the Tally form after you choose email signup.
YouTube receives information under its own policy when you follow a channel link. We do not embed YouTube players or verify whether you subscribe. Providers may process information outside Canada, where different privacy laws apply.
Retention and control
Signup records are managed in our Tally account. We keep them while needed to manage requested updates and consent, and remove unnecessary information when no longer needed. Deletion is managed by us in Tally; this website does not run an automatic deletion schedule. Providers may retain backups under their own policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Access, correction and deletion
You can request access to your signup information, a correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent. We may need to verify your identity before handling the request and may retain limited records where legally required. Your calculator inputs are stored only in your browser and can be cleared there.
